About Us.
Officially called Crewe and Nantwich District Talking Newspaper, we are Registered Charity Number 507826, registered in England on the 10th August 1978.
Our aim.
To relieve the blind or partially sighted, or those with some temporary or permanent incapacity or disability which makes reading a strain, by the provision of recordings.
The Talking Newspaper is entirely produced by unpaid volunteers, and provided free of charge to our listeners.
From August 2022, the Talking Newspaper will no longer have premises that are open to the public. Please note that we do not have regular hours, so in the first instance contact our secretary

Funding.
We do not receive external funding. We raise our own funds, and rely on the generosity of donations from organisations and individuals. We are always pleased to receive one-off donations from people wishing to say "Thank You", or listeners leaving us a bequest in their Will.
